The PETZL Actik Core headlamp is the perfect lighting companion for dynamic outdoor activities such as running, hiking and mountaineering. Featuring 600 lumens of bright light and a phosphorescent reflector to easily locate the headlamp in the dark, the Actik Core is designed for reliability and convenience with its rechargeable battery and HYBRID CONCEPT design which also accepts three standard AAA batteries.

Upgrade from the first gen Actik Core

Got this to replace my previous generation actik core. A couple of really nice features, like the glow in the dark halo to assist with finding the torch in the dark, the battery indicator LED and the ability to lock the on/off button.
It's brighter than the last actik core, makes a difference when you're trying to navigate tricky terrain at night.
After 5 days of use, I had to replace the rechargeable with AAA on a walk out at night, the hybrid feature is gives it great versatility and gives you confidence.

What excellent pants!

These are such excellent pants. It’s pretty rare (at least for me) to find hiking pants that just fit, and so I was pleasantly surprised when I put these on and…that was it. No tugging or adjusting or regrets about last night’s dessert. The waist hits my actual waist (and it’s elastic), my thighs aren’t constricted, the pockets are in the right place and are the right depth. I can SQUAT in these without having to hitch them up, so there will be no problem with days and days of stairs (looking at you Frenchman’s cap…) I took them for a first spin on a drizzly, muggy Sydney day and they were great. Loose and breathable enough that I didn’t want to rip them off my body, but enough protection to stop the leeches. I’m about 5 4” and I’ll need to take a bit off the hem, but apart from that, I love them as-is. Would highly recommend.

You want these DAC J Stakes

Honestly other than being light weight i wasn't sure what to expect, since using these multiple times i have learnt you don't need to hammer into the ground too far to get the best results, in fact I never do now since last time I used these DAC J stakes on very hard soil, they went straight in but then I physcially couldn't remove them (due to an arm injury, I asked a stronger freind to help) These DAC J Stakes are just as efficient to hammer in 1 inch or so in harder ground with great results.
