The Ultralight Six Person Tipi (UL6T)

This has been fantastic, keeping the boys dry and warm in the Victorian high country. The stove turns the tipi into a little drying room for the wet gear after a hunt. Has also been great for the wife and kids to help them brave the cold winter nights and get them back outdoors!
Could not recommend this any higher! Has been a complete game changer for my adventures.

I just returned from a six day camping experience in the New Zealand Southern Alps where we used the UL Tipi extensively. This was a good chance for a test of the product as myself and my friends back in Australia had been looking at purchasing a tipi for use on our back country hunting trips in Victoria. The trial in NZ sealed the deal for me as the tipi really added something to the entire camping experience. My favourite aspects to the tipi are:

- A communal area for hanging out, banter, cooking, and retreat from wet weather.

- Being able to heat the tipi up, thanks to the oven, to around 25 degrees which was great for drying gear

- Minimal condensation

- Standing room when getting changed

After a week of trial I have no hesitation in recommending the tipi as it is very functional and creates a unique camping experience.

I have owned a Past Outdoors UL6 Tipi Tent since 2021and have used it in the gambit of conditions and environments offered by New Zealand, including Alpine, Rainforest and Coastal camping. I have also used the UL6 in a range of contexts, including backpacking, car camping and helicopter drop of trips. I can hands down say that this is the most versatile tent I have ever used.

The UL6 offers excellent floor space and overall height, with the addition of the stove, the mesh nest and the half floor, it provides all of the options required for any type of conditions encountered in New Zealand; whether you're on the West Coast of the South Island during sand-fly season, or perched in a beech forest in the central north island.

The complete tent, along with the stove, packs down into several small and easy to manage components, and between only two people, I have found that the utility to weight ratio is extremely high.

Initially I was concerned about the wind resistance of the tent, given the shape and profile, but I have found that when properly pegged down and sited, the tent is highly stable in even 20 knot winds.

The build quality of the tent and components is fantastic, and Dave's customer support and guidance has been second to none.

I would highly recommend the UL6 to anyone looking for a tent which is versatile and slightly out of the ordinary.

I puchased my UL6T from PAST last summer and after a couple of sleep outs on the front lawn I was instantly impressed.
The functionality is great as is the build quality, it's first major outing was a solo roar hunting trip in NZ, the Tipi and stove combo performed really well, it was awesome to be able to dry out wet gear, no leaks in the rain and the floorless concept is perfect for the application, the Tipi is light and compact enough to be carried by one person comfortably but ultralight when spread between a few people and the space is luxurious.
The support and advice from the PAST team has been awesome.
We're very much looking forward to getting out camping as a family this summer and trying out the bug mesh in the Tipi.
