I own several different sleeping mats, each for different climates and trip durations. So far the exped dura 6.5R is proving to be comfortable and the strength of the material should make it very reliable for extended multi day walks. The mat packs down to a much more compact size than my older dura downmat. The dura 6.5R isn't ultralight but not too heavy either (just under 900g with stuff sack, inflation sack and repair kit). In my case, the weight of this mat is worthwhile for the fabric strength - also allowing me to swap out my back-up flex mat for a much lighter CCF underlay option. In my opinion the dura 6.5R provides a more stable sleeping surface than my ultra 8R - possibly due to the heavier duty fabric in the dura 6.5R. The insulation seems good and is meeting my expectations. I haven't used the mat below 0°C at this stage, however I have no concerns about using it in alpine conditions.
