fantastic update to super piece of gear

I had an older version of this OR jacket, and it was so good, when it came time to replace i got the updated one. just got back from remote Tassie and the jacket went very well. especially like the new water resistance on hood and shoulders.

The hybrid backpack I was looking for

I had been looking to upgrade my old canvas pack for a while, and had been interested in ultralight packs, but wasn’t entirely convinced. This pack combined all the features of an ultralight pack I had been looking for (simplicity, lightweight fabric, roll top) with a traditional frame. I took it on the overland and loved it. It carried everything I needed for 7 days of hiking with room to spare, and I love the excellent design of the phone hip pocket. The only thing I want to change is the length of the shoulder straps - I bought the men’s version and I couldn’t quite get the back length short enough to be 100% perfect (but I love the pack so much I’m planning on getting that sorted retrospectively). A shout out to the amazing staff at Past, who spent ages helping me. Can’t wait for more adventures!

I would like to say my dealings and purchasing with the family-owned team at Past Outdoors was nothing short of absolutely magnificent. I mistakenly double ordered a couple of items from the web site. Instead of just processing the order, the team at past outdoors picked up on this and rang me to check the purchase details. WOW!!!!! What good buggers. I would suspect if i had made the same mistake with a larger company run firm my error would have simply been overlooked and i would have a couple of spare items in my possession and a good few dollars out of pocket.
