I stumbled across PAST Outdoors while hunting down the lightest hot tent I could realistically carry into the backcountry. From the moment I ordered, the customer service was excellent — personable, communicative, and genuinely helpful. They even loaned me a stove while a new model is being brought in. What sets them apart is that they're actually serious outdoor users themselves.

In a world of soulless corporate chains PAST outdoors is a breath of fresh air. They stock high quality equipment and supplies for all your adventure needs. More importantly they are operated by and employ people who actually use the gear and want to make sure you get good advice and the right equipment for whatever activity you have planned.

I haven’t had the chance to use the COBB grill yet, but I’m genuinely excited to. After researching for quite a while, this looked like exactly what I wanted — stainless steel construction, compact design, and so many different ways to cook with all the accessories available.

But honestly, the reason I wanted to leave this review already is because of the customer service and personal touch. The handwritten thank you note included with the order really stood out to me. In a world where so many companies feel automated and impersonal, taking the time to write a personal note says a lot about the people behind the business.

That kind of attention and appreciation for customers goes a long way. Looking forward to firing up the grill soon!

What an amazing family run business. Whether you are an experienced thru hiker or just entering the world of hiking this store has it all, including the friendliest and most helpful staff in any small hiking/camping business I’ve ever dealt with. Dave, his family and the staff will look after you without looking for the quick buck. They’re interested in the long term returning customer and they treat you as such. Dave brings a battle tested knowledge that not many others can. 10/10 can and do recommend. I’ll be getting everything I can from here moving forward.

Found these guys randomly online while looking for some OR gear, thank god I did! Ended up going in store to try on some jackets and the guy serving me was one of the nicest blokes ever!
I frequent day hikes, but am new to overnights and have honestly never had such a helpful staff member in any shop!
Would highly recommend these guys for online and in-store shopping. Will defs be doing my shops here more often!
