The whole Nalgene hydration system just makes sense when hiking, big enough bottles for day and overnight hikes. I would recommend buying the swig rig and the filter that goes with it.
I’ve used the filter a couple times now and noticed it worked straight away. I filled it up with tap water in Adelaide and it changed the taste of it completely and that’s how I know it works. Looking forward to using it on more hikes.
I used it multiple times hiking the Morialta in Adelaide. Such a good piece of kit to have, instead of constantly opening my bag to get a drink. The extra price of the insulation was worth the money because it’s more durable.
Great fit on my Nalgene and helps keep my water cooler longer. Also the added thickness to the 15L Nalgene makes for a more secure fit in my hiking pack. Can’t speak for protecting my water freezing as I haven’t used it in that type of climate yet. Solid quality as usual from the crew at Hardside Hydration.
