I recently picked up the CNOC Outdoors 28 mm VectoX from PAST Outdoors, and I’m seriously impressed.
I spend a lot of time preparing for remote bushwalking, multi-day hikes and search and rescue training, so reliability is a lot more important to me than shaving a few grams. The VectoX feels incredibly well made, and the heavier-duty material gives me confidence that it’ll stand up to rough treatment in the bush.
The wide slide-open opening makes collecting water from shallow creeks effortless, and pairing it with a Sawyer Squeeze is about as simple and efficient as it gets. It’s one of those pieces of gear that immediately makes you wonder why all water containers aren’t designed this way.

Great hoodie in the mango colour! It packs down to about the size of a water bottle, making it perfect for travel. I took it on a trip to Mongolia and it was ideal. Paired with a merino base layer, it kept me warm without being bulky. Lightweight, easy to pack, and a great choice for adventure travel.
