Pretty in Pink

Happy Feet = Happy Hiker.

I've got Bridgedales, Icebreaker, Injinji and Darn Tough socks. All are great, but I think the Wilderness Wear ones get the nudge from me. They have kept their shape, kept my toes warm in the cold of the Jagungal Wilderness and didn't produce any hotspots.

Also, just really like the pinky purple colour.

Life's too short for boring socks.

Nice socks but cold unprotected feel in ankles

I bought 2 pairs of these for spring (April) alpine walking in Italy. I didn't need my winter socks so we The footbed is extremely comfortable and had no problems doing 20km days repeatedly. The only issue I have is the ankle knit is strangely thin. It means my ankles rubbed strangely/uncomfortably against my Scarpa mountain boots ankle supports. They also left my ankles feeling cold walking over spring snow. They are fine with approach shoes in a Sydney winter. I love supporting an Aussie brand but would love a slightly thicker ankle knit. My comparison is against similar medium weight socks by icebreaker, bridgedale and wigwam which have a thicker knit at the ankle.

Wilderness Wear Grampian Socks

Lovely medium weight sock just right for winter. I’m not a fan of thick socks and these are just the right balance of warmth to thickness and feel in shoe / boot. Really nice Aussie made product.

Lovely socks

I got into Wilderness Wear through their Overland socks, but these ones are nice too for less extreme conditions. Super soft and love the Grampians inspired graphic.
