A brand born from a genuine adventure

Sea to Summit

Sea to Summit's story starts in Perth, Western Australia, where a teenage Roland Tyson began designing his own outdoor gear on a secondhand sewing machine. The name itself comes from a genuine feat of adventure — a solo climb from sea level to the summit of Everest — and that same spirit of pushing further with better gear has driven the brand ever since.

Today, Sea to Summit is distributed in over 70 countries and has picked up more design awards across more categories than almost any other brand in the outdoor industry. But the philosophy hasn't changed: obsessive, real-world-tested design that solves genuine problems for the people using it.

What sets Sea to Summit apart

Genuine design innovation

From patented Air Sprung Cell mat technology to the Free Flow Zip system in their sleeping bags, Sea to Summit consistently rethinks categories other brands take for granted.

Tested in the real world

Every product is developed through genuine field testing across some of the harshest conditions on earth, from the Australian outback to the Himalayas, not just in a lab.

Australian-founded, globally trusted

Still headquartered in Perth, Sea to Summit has grown from a one-person workshop into a globally distributed brand, without losing sight of where it started.
