The Outdoor Research CarryOut Duffel 80L is the organised one. Where most duffels this size are a single cavern, this has a dedicated dirty/clean compartment, internal and external zip pockets, and four compression straps to stop a part-filled load rolling around.
The shell is PU-coated 420D ripstop nylon — highly water-resistant, seriously abrasion-resistant, and easy to wipe clean. At 1,075 g it's heavier than an ultralight hauler, and that weight is where the durability and organisation live.
Grab handles for short lifts, removable padded shoulder straps when you need it on your back.
CarryOut 80L — the most organised duffel we stock. Dirty/clean separation, compression straps, multiple pockets.
Exped Tempest 100 — 730 g and genuinely waterproof, but almost no organisation.
Patagonia Black Hole 70L — the middle ground, with more colour choice.

A large separate section that keeps used gear away from fresh clothing — the feature that sets this duffel apart from most at this size.
Highly water-resistant thanks to the PU-coated shell, but not a sealed dry bag. For genuine waterproofing see the Exped Tempest range.
Yes. The padded shoulder straps are removable. Good for short carries; there's no frame or hip belt for long distances.
Four external straps that cinch a part-filled bag down so the load doesn't shift in transit. Useful when you haven't filled all 80 litres.
