Hiking Individual First Aid Kit (HIFAK)

It is always better to be 'looking at one, than looking for one'

After many local and overseas trips, Hamish from Tegere Outdoors decided to create a 'Hiking Individual First Aid Kit' (HIFAK) that covered the individual but was also useful in a group setting without being excessive. Having worked and travelled with Hamish the team at PAST did not hesitate to recommend and stock the Tegere Outdoors HIFAK.

First Aid kits are often either overlooked, overloaded and even worse - omitted. 

The balance between functionality and weight has been achieved with the HIFAK.  

The HIFAK will also fit inside a Admin Organiser Set

The inclusion of a foam conforming splint and trauma/haemorrhage control dressing set the kit apart. Both are light weight items with a multitude of uses. When complimented with the best selling Snake Bite Kit this HIFAK is suitable for individual or small group situations such as an outdoors education guide.

Took the 3L canteen on the Larapinta, was perfect for extra water carries when staying at high camp. Gravity fed from filter, the wide mouth is perfect and love that it stands up by itself so I could just leave it to do it's thing. 10/10

Reliable and easy to clean

This is my second BeFree filter as my first is nearing the 1000 litre limit. The flow rate is close to the advertised 2 litres per minute though I’m sure it will start to slow down after a few more uses as did my original. All in all, I like its functionality, ease of use and simplicity to clean. Pairs well with my CNOC 3 Litre bag.

Down Quilt

Recently purchased an Ultralight Down Quilt for my hiking trips. Best decision & purchase I've made for my sleeping comfort on trail. It's warm and provides me plenty of space to move my long legs. Definitely recommend this quilt. No going back to conventional sleeping bags for me.
