Almost perfect

Of all the water containers I've used over the years in my professional (Military & Conservation Law Enforcement) and personal life, the Nalgene bottles have proven to be the perfect combination of versatility and toughness. The 1.5l bottles now allow for longer missions in harsh environments where replacing or repairing ruptured bladders just isn't possible. The only thing that would make them better is if they were fire proof.

Great bottle setup, fits on my backpack better then trying to squash a water bladder in it. Refilling is easier aswell. The Nalgene bottle doesn't have a plastic taste to it but unfortunately the hose does, so I've swapped it out with my old one and have a refreshing drink on the trek with no strong plastic taste anymore. I'm hoping the hose it came with will get better with use.
I strongly recommend this product if you're over water bladders.

Great system

A slim 1.5L bottle perfect for packing into pack side pockets. I purchased this along with the Hardside Hydration swig rig as I needed to double my water carry for a 6 day hike in the NT Outback, and I didn't want to squeeze a bladder in my already full 50L pack. My search led me to PAST Outdoors. The swig rig with nalgene bottle work perfectly for my needs. Easy to swap to other packs and I keep the bottle in the fridge ready to go. Added bonus, the swig rig cap also fits my existing 1.5L Camelback bottle (you just need to adjust the straw height or get a second straw if using with different size bottles).
