PAST Outdoors promise to guarantee our products against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. We choose the highest quality suppliers and brands, to stock, and rigorously test our products so we can deliver on this promise.

We offer this warranty to the original owner, with proof of purchase from our store for the intended life of the product under normal use. The only exception is for products which are intended for use in situations which result in higher rates of wear and tear, which is why they have a limited warranty duration. In these cases, the duration of the warranty is clearly marked on the packaging and on our website.

Our warranty policy provides you with benefits under the Australian Consumer Law because your satisfaction is very important to us.
If you encounter a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship with any product purchased through our website or in our store then subject to an assessment by us, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement product, exchange or refund of the purchase price.

You can also return an item purchased on this website for assessment if you believe it is defective, faulty or not fit for the purpose advertised.
PAST Outdoors will work the original manufacturer or distributor and will offer repair, refund or replacement at our discretion

What is not covered by PAST Outdoors

Our warranty and guarantee does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, excessive use, accidental damage, alteration or modifications to the Product, combat damage, improper care or cleaning, neglect, non-standard usage, or negligence.

In addition, our warranty does not cover damage to personal items stored in or used in conjunction with our products. Warranty decisions are the discretion of the Warranty and Returns Department of the original manufacturer or distributor of the product, not PAST Outdoors staff. Please be patient and respectful to our staff when talking with them. Any abuse online or in-store will not be tolerated.

Except in jurisdictions where the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage is not allowed, then PAST Outdoors will not, under any circumstances, be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages resulting from a warranty claim, and in no event will PAST Outdoors aggregate liability exceed the price paid for the product.

CONSUMER GUARANTEES

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These are called “Consumer Guarantees” and cannot be excluded.  Consumer Guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time period and can vary from product to product depending on factors such as the nature of goods, price and statements made on packaging and product labels.

If you have a Product with a major problem (for example, it is unsafe, is significantly different from the sample or description), then you are entitled to a refund or replacement if the problem is a major problem.  If it is a minor problem, then we can offer you a free repair within a reasonable time.
Where an item is damaged through misuse, neglect or abnormal use, we will not provide a refund, exchange or repair.
