I tried it out for the first time this weekend. Kept the tent dry and clean and provided a clean and dry surface to pack the tent away in the morning. I did wash it before using as recommended but it's still really 'crinkly'. Super light, packs small and seems surprisingly tough.
Ordered online from Past Outdoors for upcoming 3 Capes Walk and it worked perfectly with my 1.5litre Nalgene bottle. Easy to set up and was much more efficient than dropping my backpack every time I wanted a drink - highly recommended to all those hikers that prefer bottles over bladders
Purchased these poles for walking in the Kimberleys. Do a lot of rock hopping so hoping these will assist with balance. Will also use the poles to hold up a bivy
Lightweight & hard wearing. The material is initially very stiff, but a few cold washes (in with a load of clothes & towels) softens it up. I used once as a footprint under my 2P tent & it was amble. Also one lightweight overnight trip using as an improvised, throw over bivvy. Was great as a top & bottom cover, keeping dew off my pad, quilt, pack & boots - less confined than a closed in bivvy. Versatile alternative uses for this building product, big enough to trim down when the edges get ratty & cheap enough to replace if it wears through.
Went for the Mont despite the weight penalty. Well worth the extra 500g for the security in wild Tas weather. So glad to have stumbled on Past Outdoors. Great range of only best gear and the customer service from Dave was second to none. Everything arrived in 2 days ready for the Western Arthur’s. New favourite shop!
