LOWA takes its name directly from its founder: Lorenz Wagner, a Bavarian cobbler who started making work brogues for his neighbours in the small village of Jetzendorf back in 1923. What began as a single cobbler's shop has grown into one of the most respected hiking boot and hiking shoe manufacturers in the world, still headquartered in the same Bavarian village a century later.

What's the difference between the Renegade and Tibet Evo?

The Renegade is a lighter, more flexible all-day hiking boot suited to day hikes and light backpacking. The Tibet Evo is a sturdier, more supportive boot built for rougher terrain and heavier loads over multiple days.

Are LOWA hiking shoes true to size?

Sizing can vary slightly between models, so we'd always recommend trying boots on with the socks you plan to hike in. Our team is happy to help with sizing advice if you're ordering online.

Do LOWA boots need to be broken in before a big hike?

Most LOWA boots are comfortable from the first wear thanks to their precision fit, but we'd still recommend wearing them on a few shorter walks before tackling a big multi-day hike, especially for stiffer, more supportive models like the Tibet Evo.

What does GORE-TEX actually add to a LOWA boot?

GORE-TEX is a waterproof, breathable membrane built into the boot's lining, keeping water out while still letting moisture and heat escape from your foot. It's the difference between a boot that's genuinely waterproof and one that's just water-resistant.

Black Diamond Mission LT 2.0 Women’s Approach Shoes

I’m guessing that the Diamond thieves who smash & grabbed the Crown Jewels from the Louvre & the Van Cleef & Arpels diamonds in Vienna weren’t wearing Black Diamond Mission LT 2.0 Women’s Approach shoes. A woman in these shoes doesn’t need to smash & grab anything. She’s a stealth machine.The only thing she will steal is your attention. These shoes grab the ground, grab your attention & grab your feet as they fly across the room. Black Diamond shoes are not Black Market Diamonds. They might be a steal but they’re the real deal. (Ok I’ve only truly tried them on & walked down my passage so I can’t give an accurate description of how they wear on a trek but the review was requested & the heist is a marketing opportunity that couldn’t be overlooked).

Easy to install and works well

I used it with a 1L nalgene wide mouth and a CamelBak hose and the combination worked very well.
