Dan's adventures in Kosciusko National Park
Hey, I'm Dan and I work at PAST Outdoors. You may have seen me in the store on Saturdays or behind the scenes on Tuesdays.
When I am not working at PAST Outdoors, you can find me out in nature soaking up our beautiful local surroundings. Mountain biking and hiking in our national parks, surfing at our world class beaches and searching for my next adventure.
Mountain Biking and the Kosciusko National Park

I have recently moved up into the Kosciusko national park for the summer to work as a Mountain bike instructor. Upon doing this I have found myself constantly reaching for my trusty and reliable gear from PAST Outdoors.
Durable clothing to withstand the elements
Fjallraven Abisko Lite Pants & Lowa Renegade Boots
The weather changes fast up here. From scorching hot and sunny to negative temps and snowing within an matter of minutes. For this reason you always need to be prepared. My Fjallraven Abisko lite pants paired with my Lowa Renegade boots have been a staple combo for long days on the hill. The durable G1000 material of the pants withstands the elements while also being stretchy in key areas and comfortable all day long and my Lowa Renegade boots keep me stable and secure on climbs up the hills.

Mont Classic Sun Hat
When I don't have a helmet on my head I usually wear my Mont sun hat. The sun up here is deadly and you can be burnt to a crisp after one ride on the chair lift. The wide brim of the Mont sun hat keeps my face and neck sheltered and the reinforced part at the front stops the hat from flapping into my face on windy days. It is truly a must have for everybody.
A usual day for me in the mountains consists of riding my bike, swimming laps at the pool and spending quality time with friends and family in the outdoors.
I am so thankful for my time at PAST Outdoors. It is a place that will forever hold a special place in my heart. I use skills that I have learnt from PAST Outdoors in my everyday life here in the mountains and I look great in my kit doing it!
See you on the trails!
Dan
