Hardside Hydration Reversible Bottle Sleeve for Nalgene Bottles 3

A simple idea: ditch the bladder, keep the bottle

Hardside Hydration

Hardside Hydration was built around a genuinely simple problem: hydration bladders are convenient until they leak, split, or grow mould where you can't see it. Their solution, the Swig Rig, turns a hard-sided bottle you already trust, a Nalgene, a Yeti Yonder, or similar, into a hands-free hydration system, complete with a hose and bite valve, without any of the failure points that come with a soft bladder.

It's a straightforward promise: products designed and built to be rugged and dependable, backed by a guarantee that if a defect in design or manufacturing causes a problem, they'll make it right.

What sets Hardside Hydration apart

No bladder to fail

Hard-sided bottles don't split, puncture, or grow hidden mould the way soft bladders can, giving you one less thing to worry about deep in the backcountry.

Genuinely hands-free

The hose and bite valve setup lets you drink on the move without stopping to unclip a bottle, while a quick-disconnect system makes swapping bottles simple.

Built to last, guaranteed

Every product is designed to be rugged and dependable, backed by a guarantee against manufacturing defects, not a system built to be replaced every season.

Water filtration, made simple

No separate filter to carry, assemble, or clean. The Hardside Hydration Bottle Filter filters water straight from your Nalgene as you drink. We've covered exactly how it works, and what it actually removes, in our full guide.

How the Swig Rig actually works

The Swig Rig replaces the standard lid on your Nalgene or similar hard-sided bottle with a purpose-built cap, hose, and bite valve. Clip the hose to your pack strap, and you've got hands-free sipping without ever needing to dig your bottle out. Add the Bottle Filter and you can fill up from questionable water sources with genuine confidence, filtering as you drink. It's a modular system too, swap bottles quickly with the quick-disconnect fitting, or size up and down between the standard Wide Mouth and the ultralight version depending on your trip.
