Proper seam sealing with Gear Aid Seam Grip SIL is crucial for preventing moisture from entering silnylon (silicone-nylon) tents. Formerly known as SilNet, this transparent sealant dries into a flexible rubber that is effective on all silicone-treated gear, including nylon tarps and ultralight backpacks. With one 42gm tube, it is possible to seal up to 7.5 metres of seams. Not only is it quick and convenient to use, but it is also useful for repairing pinholes and small tears. When dealing with silnylon tents, only silicone sealants will provide waterproofing, as they can only adhere to silicone. Therefore, ensure the proper treatment of your gear and keep the weather out with Gear Aid Seam Grip SIL.
