Training for the Kokoda Track is an exciting yet challenging endeavor, and having the right gear has made all the difference. The Garmin inReach Mini Plus is a compact GPS communicator that stands out as a vital tool for adventurers like myself gearing up for this trek.During my training sessions, the device performed exceptionally well. It quickly locked onto satellites, and the interface is intuitive enough that I didn’t have to fumble around with settings while on the move. The messaging feature worked flawlessly, allowing me to check in with my team about logistics and plans during each training serial.
It is an essential bit of of safety kit for anyone stepping into the wideness in 2026
pack harness is unique for an ultra light pack - keeps the pack off your back, so much cooler in warm Aussi conditions.
Fabric is ok, but not as tough as 200 for the bush. but then it costs 1/3 of the price, so you can buy 3 of these if they wear out!
Great size to suck while hiking. Tastes great too. G
Arrived quickly and well packed, have not used them in the cold yet but they look like they will perform well, will use in the yea houses and camps above 6000m in the Himalayas
I’ve been very pleased with the Actik headlamp. A robust unit with good output but it is the battery versatility that I particularly like - can take either AAA or a rechargeable Petzel battery pack.
