Tiny. Very light, so it's unnoticeable in a pack. Fits in a 600ml mug on top of a small gas canister with a couple of bic lighters beside it. Seems very reliable so far. Stable.
I bought this to replace the pole in my almost-30-year-old OR bivy sack. It was a little longer than needed for the old sack, but easy to cut down to the correct size.
This grid fleece is everything I could have imagined and then some. The gram weenies may fret over its weigh and pack ability but this thing is seriously warm, super comfortable and the balaclava style hoodie is fantastic. Provides great coverage without adding too much bulk to the front of the neck when the hoodie is down. It’s OR, you get what you pay for. True to size.
When you purchase your Mac in Sac puffer you know you’re not buying OR or Mont. as long as you approach this purchase with that mindset you will love what you get for the price you pay. This is a lovely little jacket that has enough loft and warmth to work well on its own in mild conditions and as part of a layered system in really cold situations. It packs down incredibly small and the material is nice against the skin should you need to wear it against your skin. I would recommend this puffer as part of a layering system for anyone and everyone.
I dislike knee high gaiters as they make me too hot when hiking, but I also dislike grass seeds stuck in my socks... so these low gaiters are perfect! I wear them under my pants so barely notice them but they work great to shop twigs etc. getting in my boots. The clip around the top is very functional as well, rather than an elastic. Highly recommend!
