These pants are the perfect combination of flexibility, breathability and durability. The large thigh vents are perfect for warmer temperatures. The fabric is thick and durable enough to resist tearing on rocks and scree; and to prevent snow grass stabbing you in the New Zealand back country.

While it is too early to give a detailed review of the boots here are my thoughts so far. Past provided great service even allowing me to return my first pair as they were a little to tight in the toe. On that point I struggle to find boots that fit my feet,however, using an existing pair of Mammut boots for sizing and Past’s seem less return policy my new pair of Kento Tour High GTX have arrived and fit very nicely. And feel comfortable and secure. The quality and finish is excellent and I am looking forward to many kilometers of comfortable hiking.
